Why EMR Now?For years Doctors have been inundated with the magic bullet of a paperless office. However, the first generation of products were nothing more than glorified scanning systems. The computers and servers were also very expensive and systems did not integration well.
The next generation appears to solve some problems but were really nothing more than re-written billing systems. The navigation, integration and uability of these systems were horrible. People that adopted them were still forced to use their paper charts along with the time comsuiming electronic data entry.
